  • Permanent economic impact: estimated $13 million in sales and $4.4 million in payroll
  • Estimated construction phase sales tax revenue: $1.4 million (including $385,000 for Tulsa)
  • Estimated annual sales tax revenue after completed: $485,000 (including $160,000 for Tulsa)
  • Expected significant increases in downtown land values and development activity
  • Catalyst for additional residential, retail, hotel and office development and public improvements
  • Expect ONEOK Field to attract more than 400,000 new visitors per year to downtown

Residents through the city and the region will benefit

  • ONEOK Field will benefit the entire metropolitan area by creating new jobs, bringing in more visitors and visitor dollars, increasing property values resulting in increased property tax revenues and increasing sales tax revenues of which the county receives 1.417%.
  • This new downtown venue is bigger than baseball. It will result in additional downtown development and bring new visitors and events to our city. Overall, it will improve the core of our metropolitan area, which benefits everyone. New jobs and spending related to construction and operation of the facility directly benefit those employed and the companies that supply products, equipment, etc. In addition, there are numerous indirect benefits as a result of additional money that will be spent on services and purchases in the community, e.g., groceries, clothes, dry cleaning, eating out, etc.
  • Bottom line, to continue to rank among the best in the nation, Tulsa and the metropolitan area must continue to invest in growing and improving the community. Economic development and the resulting new jobs, tax revenues and business opportunities benefit everyone.
