Tulsa is really shaping up! The health and wellness of Tulsans is a top priority of my administration. I’m proud to announce that for the third year in a row, Tulsa is one of Men’s Fitness magazine’s Top 25 Fittest Cities.
During these past three years, we’ve gone from the “Fat List” to the “Fit List,” but there’s still more we can do. That’s why I’m excited to introduce Tulsa Million Miles, a new Mayor’s Fitness Challenge project designed to help shape up Tulsa, one mile at a time.
Our goal is to help Tulsans become more active. Whether you walk, run, bike, or swim, you can use TulsaMillionMiles.com to track the miles you go. Your miles will count for all of Tulsa—let’s see how soon we can reach a million miles and more!
TulsaMillionMiles.com also has tools to help you search for local fitness events like races and bike rides or print out maps of nearby parks and trails.
Tulsans are shaping up all over town. Whether they’ve been training for the Tulsa Run or the Route 66 Marathon, biking to work, taking advantage of our parks and trails, or participating in corporate fitness challenges, I am proud of the efforts our community has been making to stay active.
Find out more about the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge using the links on the right, and don’t forget to visit TulsaMillionMiles.com. You can start logging your miles today!
Let’s do our part in making life better in Tulsa by staying active and making healthy choices for life.
