Greetings!
I joined Gov. Brad Henry this week at the state capitol for the signing of House Bill 1127 which provides funding to keep Tulsa’s much needed OSU Medical Center hospital open and operating downtown.
The bill provides $5 million a year for five years for operating subsidies. The Kaiser Family Foundation is donating matching funds to provide health care and health insurance in Tulsa.
I worked diligently with state and community leaders throughout last year to find a way to keep this much-needed health care facility open and available to Tulsans, and continue training for medical students at this teaching hospital.
Seeing this bill become law is a victory for Tulsa.
Sincerely,
Kathy Taylor
I believe in Tulsa!

The Fire Department’s mentoring program began in three Tulsa Public Schools, Jones Elementary, Marshall Elementary, and Hawthorne Elementary, and two Union Elementary Schools, Briarglen and Boevers.
